Biography

Ramli Ahmad was Malaysia’s top sprinter in the 1970s, and set a new national record in the 200 metres in 1977 with 20.7. He still held that record when he died of a stroke at only 47, while jogging. Following his track career, Ramli had been working for Malaysia Airlines.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.3 (1975); 200 – 20.7 (1976).
