Biography

Bep du Mée was a Dutch track and field athlete who specialised in sprinting. In 1931 Du Mée became the national champion in the 200 metres and was part of the quartet that improved the Dutch record in the 4 x 100 metres relay. The following year she was selected to compete at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, but had to use local fundraising to make the trip due to the impact of the Great Depression. Once at the Games she ran in the 100 metres and finished fourth in the 4 × 100 metres relay. Two years later Du Mée won silver in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1934 Women’s World Games in London.

Personal Best: 100 – 12.3 (1932).
