During the late 1950s and early 1960s track and field athlete Allah Ditta competed for Pakistan in the pole vault at multiple international competitions. Ditta made his first appearance at the Olympics at the 1956 Melbourne Games, finishing 15th with a best effort of 4.00 metres in the qualification round. He had better success two years later when he won bronze at the Asian Games in Tokyo, followed by a fourth-place finish at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff. In 1960 he returned to the Olympics where he again cleared 4.00 metres but finished down in 26th place. Ditta’s final international appearances came in 1962 where he won another bronze at the Asian Games and finished eighth at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games.
