Boxer Alfred Zima was Austrian flyweight champion in 1952 and featherweight champion in 1953, 1957, 1958, and 1964. He competed as a flyweight at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics but lost his second-round re-draw to the eventual god medallist Nate Brooks of the USA.
Zima participated in the European Championships of 1955, 1957, 1959, and 1965 but never won a medal. He also failed to medal at the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1955 and 1957.
