Biography

From 1923 to 1925 Allan Eriksson was the Swedish champion in the discus throw that used the combined total from throws with each hand. Eriksson also had the distinction of being the last national record holder in the event when it was abolished in 1925. At the Swedish championships he won four silver medals using both hands (1919–22), and three silver medals when the event used the now-standard one hand (1924–25, 1928). Eriksson finished in sixth place at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics with a best throw of 39.410 metres. He was scheduled to compete in the same event at the 1924 Paris Olympics but did not start in the competition.

Personal Best: DT – 44.26 (1927).
