Biography

Per Eriksson was a Swedish multi-event athlete who finished seventh in the decathlon at the 1948 London Olympics. He also started the decathlon at the 1954 European Championships but did not finish. He competed in six other major international meets for Sweden between 1947-55, including as a member of the combined Nordic European countries against the United States in 1949. Eriksson was Swedish pentathlon champion in 1946-48 and 1951-53, placing second in 1949-50. He won the national title in the decathlon in 1948 and 1953-56, finishing second in 1949, 1951, and 1957.
