Biography

Carl Jahnzon was a Swedish footballer and track and field athlete who represented Djurgårdens IF. Jahnzon played for Djurgårdens IF in the 1904 Svenska Mästerskapet final against Örgryte IS where Örgryte won the match 2–1. Jahnzon later became a member of the Djurgården’s Sports Association’s board.

In track and field Jahnzon specialised in throwing events where he was the Swedish champion in the discus in 1904 and 1905. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he finished in joint-eighth place in the hammer with a best throw of 42.58 metres. Two years later Jahnzon was the national weight throw champion.

Personal Best: HT – 44.28 (1915).
