Biography

Sweden’s Erik Kugelberg was an all-round track and field athlete who represented IFK Norrköping. In 1911 Kugelberg was the national champion in the decathlon and was selected to compete at his home Olympics the following year. At the 1912 Stockholm Games Kugelberg finished in eighth place in the decathlon. His best individual performance came in the 1,500 metres with a third-place finish. Kugelberg also took part in the pentathlon, finishing in 15th place. He was eliminated for not being in the top-12 after the completion of the third discipline the 200 metres.
