Biography

Nils Linde was a Swedish track and field athlete who specialised in throwing events. From 1912 to 1914 Linde won three national titles in the hammer throw, in addition to three silver medals in the event (1915–16, 1919). At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he finished in seventh place in the hammer with a best throw of 43.32 metres. He also finished in ninth place in the discus throw using both hands. At the 1920 Antwerpen Games Linde repeated his seventh-place finish in the hammer throw at the Olympics when he threw 44.885 metres.
