Biography

Swedish track and field athlete Sven Runström represented IF Göta where he specialised in the triple jump. Runström won gold in the event at the 1918 national athletics championships and followed that up with three consecutive silver medals (1919–21). At the 1919 championships he also won bronze in the 4 x 100 metres along with Hagbard Andersson, Eric Schörling, and Nils Sandström. Runström competed in the triple jump at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics where he finished tenth with a best effort of 13.630 metres.
