Biography

Jaruwan Jenjudkarn was the leading female Thai high jumper in the first half of the 1990-ies. After winning a bronze medal in the Asian Championship in 1991 and bettering the national record to 1.82, she was selected for the Olympics in 1992, where she, as expected, did not survive the qualifying round. In 1994 she came 7th in the Asian Games, and in 1995, her best year as a high jumper, she won another bronze medal in the Asian Championship with a clearance of 1.86. She then retired from competition at the age of 27.
