Biography

Valeyta Althouse was a weight thrower for the UCLA Bruins who competed in the shot put at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Althouse was NCAA Champion outdoors in 1995 and indoors in 1996, and won the Pac-10 Championship in 1994-96. She won the 1997 US Indoor championship. Althouse competed at the 1995 World University Games and the 1997 World Championships. She also won a bronze medal at the Pan Am Junior Championships.

Personal Best: SP – 18.88 (1997).
