Biography

Brenda Morehead ran sprints for Tennessee State. She competed twice at the Pan-American Games, winning a sprint relay gold medal in 1975 and 1979, and a silver medal in the 100 in 1979. Morehead won the 1976 Olympic Trials in both the 100 and 200, but was unable to medal in Montréal. She won the 1976 AAU 200 metres and the AAU Indoors in the 60 yards in 1977-78.

After her track career ended, Morehead returned to her native Toledo, Ohio, where she raised two daughters, worked as a guidance counselor at Robinson Junior High, and coached their high school track team.

Personal Bests: 100 – 11.08 (1976); 200 – 22.38 (1980).
