Biography

Arthur Blake was a high hurdler who competed at both the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, making the 1988 final and finishing eighth, but failing to get past the 1992 semi-finals. Blake finished third at the US Olympic Trials in both 1988 and 1992. He was also third at the US Championships in 1988, and finished fourth in 1987, 1989, and 1990. Blake ran for Florida State University where was he second in the 1987 NCAA Meet. Blake was world ranked five times, from 1987-90 and 1992, with a high ranking of #4 in 1987. In the US rankings, he was in the top 10 six times between 1987-93, ranking third in 1987, 1988, and 1992.
