Lacey Hearn represented the Chicago AA at the 1904 Olympics, losing a close race to his teammates, Jim Lightbody and Frank Verner, in the 1,500m. All three were on the Chicago team that won the silver medals in the 4-mile team race. Hearn graduated from Purdue in 1905 with a degree in electrical engineering and later became a real estate broker.
