Edward Roberts threw heavy weights for Harvard and later the US Army. At the AAU Meet he finished third in the 56-lb. weight throw in 1922 and 1924, and was second in the 1931 35-lb. weight throw for height. He earned a law degree from Harvard and practiced law for many years.
