Biography

Brandon Rock was a middle-distance runner who competed in the 800 metres at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Rock started in college at Taft Junior College, but then moved to Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), where he had serious health issues and initially had to stop running. After resuming training, UNLV discontinued men’s track, so he transferred to the University of Arkansas. In 1995, while at Arkansas, Rock won both the NCAA Meet and the USA Nationals in the 800. He finished fifth that year at the World Championships. Rock earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in May 2004.
