Biography

Todd Scully was a specialist in the shorter of the Olympic walks, 20 kilometres, and represented the United States multiple times in that event. He was bronze medalist at the 1979 Pan American Games, after finishing fifth in 1975, and competed in the World Cup in 1973, 1977, 1981, 1983, and 1985. He won eight US championships in walking over distances from 5-40 km., with one win at 20 km., in 1978. Scully later became cross-country coach at Virginia Tech University.
