Biography

Fred Sharaga was AAU champion three times in walking events – 1944 in the 2-mile and 1943-44 in the 15 km. He also finished second in the 3 km walk in 1945-46. He represented the 92nd Street YMHA. Sharaga worked as a civil engineer.

Personal Best: 10kmW – 49:55 (1948).
