Biography

Flora Hofman was one of the top Yugoslavian female athletics competitors in the 1930s. A resident of Beograd, she won her first national title in the 100 metres in 1933, and successfully defended it the next year, in addition to winning the 200 metres. Selected for the Yugoslavian athletics delegation for the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, Hofman competed in the 100 metres event, but finished last in her heat and was thus eliminated. She was also a member of the 4 × 100 metres team, but did not start in the event. Back at home, she defended her titles in the 100 and 200 metre sprints in 1937 and 1938, in addition to winning the 60 metre sprint and 4 × 100 metres relay championship titles 1938.

Personal Best: 100 – 12.9 (1936).
