Biography

Miksa Hellmich was the athlete of the OTE. He competed in more disciplines, but he was primarily a sprinter. He won the Hungarian championship three times in the 100 yard event and once in the 440 yard competition. During his career, he won both the Austrian and Czech championship titles at 100 yards. After finishing his sporting career, he worked as a crusher and, in 1913, took over the leadership of the Track and Field unit of his association. His brother, Ottó, won a silver medal at the 1912 Olympics in gymnastics.
