Biography

In 1936 at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics Käthe Grasegger surprisingly won the silver medal in alpine combined. She won seven World Championship medals but never a gold medal. On a national level she never managed to win a title, as her teammate Christl Cranz always overshadowed her. In 1937 Grasegger was runner-up in the slalom, and was third in 1935. In downhill she was runner-up in 1941, and third in 1937 and 1938. Finally, Grasegger was third in the alpine combination 1935, 1937 and 1938.
