Biography

Grete Lainer was an Austrian figure skater who finished ninth in the women’s singles at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics. She participated in the 1934 World Championships (sixth), and the 1933-35 Europeans (eighth, fifth, and sixth respectively). At the Austrian nationals she enjoyed four podium finishes, with silver in 1934-35 and 1937, and bronze in 1936.
