Biography

In the late 1940s and early 1950s Swedish figure skater Britta Lindmark competed in pairs competitions with her compatriot Ulf Berendt. In 1947 the duo won silver at the Swedish Figure Skating Championships, followed by bronze a year later. Lindmark and Berendt then won three Swedish titles (1949, 1951, 1954), along with two titles at the Nordic Figure Skating Championships (1951, 1954). In 1952 they were selected to compete in the pairs at the Oslo Olympics, but Lindmark suffered an injury with them finished 12th. Two years later Lindmark and Berendt finished ninth at the World Figure Skating Championships, which were also held in Oslo.
