Biography

Margot Moe was the leading Norwegian figure skater in the period 1919-23, winning five national singles titles in a row, and in four of them she was awarded the King’s Cup. At the 1922 World Championships in Stockholm she won the bronze medal, the same year she won the Nordic Champioships. Moe retired after the 1923 season. She owned a shop in Oslo, and ran it until her retirement in 1970. She also participated in skiing, cycling, and swimming after her figure skating career. She died in 1988 at age 89.
