Biography

Cross-country skier Gudrun Schmidt participated in the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. Her best result was sixth place with the 3x5 km relay. She claimed her only East German national title in 1968, winning the 10 km event. Her national collection was completed by three more silver medals and two bronze medals.
