Biography

West German cross-country skier Franz Betz competed at the 1972 Sapporo and the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. He had his best results with the 4x10 km relay, coming in seventh in 1972 and ninth in 1976, respectively. His best individual finish was 18th in the 1976 30 km. In 1974 and 1975 Betz won the West German title in this event, also with the 4x10 km relay of Skiclub Nesselwang.
