Austrian speed skater Otmar Braunecker participated in the 1968 Grenoble and 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. His best result was 23rd place over 500 metres in 1972. Nationally, he entered the podium only once in 1969, as third in the All-round Championships. Braunecker later became president of the Skating Federation of Kärnten.
Personal Bests: 500 – 39.6 (1971); 1000 – 1:22.5 (1971); 1500 – 2:09.6 (1971); 5000 – 8:37.5 (1969); 10000 – 19:44.4 (1968).
