Biography

Fernand Carrez played hockey (field) for Belgium at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics and then played ice hockey at the 1936 Winter Olympics. He had a long ice hockey career, from 1933-50, always centered around Bruxelles, mostly playing for Club des Sports d’Hiver Brussels, although he had stints with Brussels IHC, and Etôile du Nord. Carrez was on the Belgium ice hockey team from 1935-40 and also skated at the 1939 World Championships. He was a center in the 1930s but moved to defense after World War II.
