Biography

Pierre Carpenter was known as a defensive defenseman, although he also played rover occasionally. He competed for France at the 1920 and 1924 Winter Olympics, at the LIHG Championships in 1912-14, and the European Championships in 1923 and 1924. Charpentier skated with Club des Patineurs de Paris from 1906-1921 and then was with Paris Club des Sports d’Hiver. His career was as a journalist. He occasionally used the pseudonym “d’Errip” which was derived from Pierre.
