Warren Chivers attended Dartmouth and competed for the Dartmouth Outing Club. In addition to his 1936 Olympic appearance, he made the 1940 US Olympic team that was chosen, but could never compete. From 1941-46 Chivers was an officer in the Naval Air Corps. He returned to New England and started a teaching and coaching career, coaching skiing at Vermont Academy for several decades. He was inducted into the US Ski Hall of Fame in 1975.
