Biography

Ray Fales became an engineer, after his short-lived luge career, and then returned to Northwestern, where he earned a Ph.D. in economics. He taught for awhile at Rutgers, before working for a Boston-area think tank, the Mitre Corporation. After retirement he moved to Florida, where he took up woodworking and cabinetry as a hobby. He then started volunteering around his home in Naples, doing woodworking for homeless shelters, local people who could not afford it, and Habitat for Humanity.
