Biography

Left-winger Roger Hansson started his career in 1984 with Rögle BK, but from 1991-96 played with Malmö IF, winning Swedish titles in 1992 and 1994 and European Champions Cup in 1992. From 1996-01 Hansson played with Kassel Huskies in Germany and then finished his career playing again with Rögle BK from 2001-03. Internationally Hansson won an Olympic gold in 1994, won silver at the 1995 World Championships and bronze at the 1994 World Championships. After finishing his sporting career, Hansson was general manager of Rögle BK from 2006-10 and from 2010-12 was an assistant coach of Rögle BK. From October to November 2011 he was also briefly the head coach of Rögle BK. In 2013 he became coach of Helsingborgs HC junior team.
