Biography

A welterweight, Tommy Lown was AAU Champion in 1927-28, which qualified him for the 1928 Olympic team, but he lost in the first round in Amsterdam to Argentina’s Raúl Landini. Lown was captain of the 1928 US Olympic boxing team. He turned pro in early 1929 and fought professionally through the beginning of 1931, compiling a record of 12 wins and 2 losses.
