Biography

Ernest Jacquet was a right winger who played ice hockey for Switzerland at the 1924 Chamonix Winter Olympics. He spent his entire career (1917-32) with Rosey Gstaad HC in Switzerland. Jacquet was a top all-around athlete who also competed in football, tennis, and skiing. He later refereed at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics and worked for the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation for over 30 years. In that capacity he was responsible for organizing the Spengler Cup, the invitational club tournament in Davos.
