Biography

After the 1936 Olympics, Art Oliver had a very brief, undistinguished career as a professional boxer, winning only 4 of 17 bouts. He then joined the Army and fought in World War II, eventually receiving an Honorable Discharge. After the war he worked for the American Maize Products Company. He was killed while riding in a truck on the job, when the truck was hit by a train.
