Biography

Steve Jensen played with his brother Paul at Michigan Tech, where together they led them to the 1975 NCAA Championship. Steve Jensen later had a solid career in the NHL. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1975 NHL draft by the Minnesota North Stars and played for them from 1975-78. He later played from 1979-82 with the Los Angeles Kings. He was also up and down a bit to the minor leagues, playing with the Fort Worth Texans of the Central Hockey League in 1977-78, and with the New Haven Nighthawks of the American Hockey League in 1981-82.

After seemingly retiring in 1982 Steve Jensen came back in 1986 and played a few games in the AHL with the Springfield Indians. Jensen also skated for the US at the 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1983 World Championships and the 1981 Canada Cup. He later became a minor league scout and ran the Heartland Hockey Camp, a summer hockey school in Deerwood, Minnesota.
