Biography

A top all-around skier, Glenn Jobe lettered in Alpine skiing at Nevada Reno in 1971-72 and then in cross-country skiing in 1972-73. Jobe was a two-time Wolf Pack ski team captain. He won the US national title at the 20-kilometer biathlon distance in 1981. Jobe was the founder of both Kirkwood and Tahoe Donner’s Nordic centers. He started coaching Far West Junior skiers in 1977 with the Junior National team, and has been instrumental in growing the Far West Junior Nordic Program. He has also been a ski instructor at the Northstar Resort.
