Biography

Axel Johansson was a Swedish speed skater who represented IF Göta in Karlstad. With his all-round talent Johansson was selected to compete in four events at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympics. His best result came in the 500 metres where he finished 18th, with him having top-30 finishes in the other three races he participated in.

Personal Bests: 500 – 46.1 (1936); 1500 – 2:28.4 (1938); 5000 – 8:56.8 (1935); 10000 – 18:38.2 (1936).
