Biography

William Spengler was a New York City police officer at the time of the 1920 Olympics, and worked in that job up to the time of World War II. He served in the Army for the last year of World War I but was released from the military in 1919. Spengler later retired well upstate to Long Lake, New York, but he died and was buried near Santa Barbara, California.
