Biography

Kari Laitinen began his hockey career in 1985 with Jokerit Helsinki and played there until 1987. From 1987-93 Laitinen played with HIFK Helsinki and won his only Finnish Championships medals, two bronzes in 1988 and 1992, with them. He then played one season with Jokipojat Joensuu, before playing two seasons in France with ASG Angers and Chamonix HC. Laitinen finished his playing career in 1996-98 with Pelicans Lahti. Internationally Laitinen played with the Finnish national team only in 1988 Olympics, where he won a silver medal.
