Austrian rower Raphael, son of Wolfgang Hartl, came 11th with the quadruple sculls at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He then turned to single sculls and finished 17th at Athens in 2004. Hartl later became a lawyer and banking director with a private Austrian banking institute.
