Biography

Piet Dickentman had a very long professional career riding almost exclusively in motor-paced events. He was World Champion in 1903 and runner-up in 1901. He was European Champion in 1900 and also had podium finishes in 1901 (2), 1903 (3), 1904 (3), and 1907 (2). Dickentman competed at the World Championships in 1922, over 20 years after his first appearance. From 1921-23 he was on the podium at the Dutch motor-paced championships, placing second in 1921 and third in 1922-23.
