Biography

Kris Kuehl was a weight thrower who competed in the discus for the USA at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Kuehl won a silver medal at the 1999 Pan American Games and bronze medals at the 1995 Pan Ams and the 1998 Goodwill Games. She competed at the World Championships in 1993, 1999, 2001, and 2003.

Kuehl attended school at D-3 Concordia College and the NCAA D-3 title in the discus in 1990, 1991, and 1992. She was also a D-3 All-American in the shot put, indoors and outdoors in 1992.

With a long career Kuehl was ranked in the USA top 10 every year from 1993-2005, ranking #1 in 2002 after winning the USA Championships. She also ranked #2 in 1993, 1999, and 2001, and #3 in 1994 and 2000. She was world ranked #7 in both 2001 and 2002 by Track & Field News.

Personal Best: DT – 65.34 (2000).
