With one of the most apt names ever for an athlete Nathan Leeper was a high jumper who competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He also appeared at the 2001 World Championships and World Indoor Championships and the 1998 Goodwill Games. Leeper was world ranked #9 in 2001. He was in the top 10 of the US rankings in 1998, 2000-02, and 2004, ranking #1 in 2000 and 2001. Leeper later became a high jump coach in San Diego high schools.
