Biography

Almut Lehmann teamed up with Herbert Wiesinger in the pairs event at the 1972 Sapporo Winter Games. They were sixth at the 1970 World Championships, fifth in 1971 and 1972, and fourth in 1973. After finishing fifth at the 1970 and 1971 Europeans, and fourth in 1972, Lehmann eventually won her first major international medal when taking bronze in 1973. At the 1972 Sapporo Winter Games they finished fifth. From 1971-73, they won the West German title three times. Lehmann later worked with Holiday on Ice and moved to the US, where she got married.
