Biography

Norman Schuster was a German lightweight boxer who lost his first-round bout at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. He was German national champion in 1998 and 1999, and in 1999-2000 and 2002 he won the renowned Chemie Cup at Halle. In 2000, he won the bronze medal at the European Championships.

Schuster turned professional in 2004 and won the German Professional Championship in 2006, which he defended four times. In 2008, he retired and in 2010 emigrated to Switzerland where he funded a boxing academy.
