Biography

Marte Rodolfo Gómez was Mexican Secretary of State for Agriculture and later was Secretary of State for Treasury. He was President of the Mexican Olympic Committee from 1955-59, and also served on the Organizing Committee for the 1954 Central American and Caribbean Games. Gómez was co-opted onto the IOC in October 1934 and remained an IOC Member until his death in December 1973.
