Biography
Chuck Dobson was a right-handed pitcher who played for the USA at the 1964 Olympics demonstration baseball tournament. Dobson played college baseball at the University of Kansas. He played in the Major Leagues for nine seasons, from 1966-75, missing the 1972 season after elbow surgery.
Dobson played with the Kansas City and Oakland Athletics from 1966-73, before finishing his career with two years with the California Angels. His career record was 74 wins and 69 losses with an ERA of 3.78. In 1970 Dobson led the American League in games started, with 40, and in shutouts, with 5.
