Biography

Shaun Fitzmaurice played for the USA at the 1964 Olympic demonstration baseball tournament. Fitzmaurice played in college at Notre Dame. He was a right-handed hitting center-fielder who came up to the New York Mets for the proverbial cup of coffee in September 1964, playing in nine Major League games. Fitzmaurice played in the minors from 1964-73, mostly in Triple-A ball.
